SPEECH-LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST (SLP) –

Duties:

  • Screen and evaluate patients with communication, cognitive, or swallowing disorders, developing appropriate care plans following regulatory and clinical standards.
  • Deliver rehabilitative treatment to patients with communication, cognitive, and/or swallowing disorders, ensuring compliance with regulatory and clinical practice requirements.
  • Evaluate treatment outcomes, modifying services based on patient evaluation and making referrals as needed.
  • Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers related to speech disorders.
  • Generate comprehensive discharge summaries in adherence to regulatory and clinical requirements.
Qualifications:
Speech-Language Pathology license is required.
This position is open to SLPs at all experience levels

Ensign Services, Inc. (ESI) seeks an energetic and dynamic Therapy Resource with at least five years’ experience in the skilled nursing facility environment to cover its growing Colorado operations. This position can be held by a Physical, Occupational or Speech Therapist and offers a unique opportunity to support our in-house therapy programs and growing outpatient practices. Salary Range: $130,000 – $150,000/yr plus bonuses

Responsibilities:

  • Inspires Directors of Rehabilitation and other facility leadership to ensure excellence in delivery of clinical-therapy services
  • Leader that supports the facility team in whatever ways possible

  • Ensures adherence to state and federal regulations pertaining to our industry
  • Local Travel required 70-80% of the time (typically in facilities 4/5 days per week, with some travel out of state to other Ensign Affiliated markets)
Desired Skills:
  • Superior interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong writing skills required to write and edit policies and procedures, compliance reports, and other communications 
  • Works well independently in a home office environment on long term projects and as a member of an interdisciplinary team 
  • An engaging and informative teacher for regular training of facility personnel
  • Possesses and conveys high degree of credibility & integrity 
  • Desire to constantly improve in-house therapy systems and organizational excellence
  • Understands and accepts the unpredictable nature and needs of the compliance resource function in a large organization
  • Exhibits Analytical Skills and an understanding of operational processes 
Experience/Qualifications 
Licensed Physical, Occupational or Speech Therapist
A minimum of five years’ SNF experience (multi-site a plus)
Knowledge of MDS coding rules and regulations
Track record of growing Long-term care and Outpatient programing
Understanding of the legal and regulatory framework governing the skilled nursing industry
Ability to work with all levels of management on all aspects of therapy operations in a skilled nursing setting
 
Additional Information 
Salary: $130K – $150K, plus bonuses

Schedule: Typically business hours but may vary depending on workload and travel needs – 40 hrs/week
Location: Based out of home office and regularly travels to assigned facilities; must reside near a major airport
